The Owls saw their run of four league games without defeat at Hillsborough ended by Doncaster in midweek and Irvine will be looking for a quick return to winning ways as his side are just a point clear of the relegation zone. Tommy Miller is set to play for the reserves against Shrewsbury next week as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring problem. The midfielder will be assessed after that clash but it is thought that he is around two weeks away from a return to first-team action. Defender Lewis Buxton and midfielder Jermaine Johnson (both hamstring) remain on the sidelines.
