Sheffield Wednesday forward Luke Varney has paid new boss Alan Irvine a glowing tribute, insisting he has instilled new self-belief at Hillsborough.
Although the Owls went down 2-1 at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Varney notched his third goal in two games.
The former Crewe Alexandra, Charlton Athletic and Derby County striker firmly believes that they will bounce back with three successive home games, starting against Blackpool in midweek.
He said: "With the mentality that the gaffer had instilled is us we believe we can get a result anywhere.
"Now we've got three home games in a row, we'll be looking to force the issue.
"We'll regroup. We're a confident group and I'm sure we'll put it right on Tuesday."
