Owls target back-to-back wins
Sheffield Wednesday caretaker manager Stuart Gray will again be without Joe Mattock and Michail Antonio for the visit of Wigan.
The Owls are awaiting scan results on Mattock's thigh injury while Antonio has been sent for an injection in his knee and could be out until the start of next year.
Connor Wickham took a knock to his knee in Saturday's 1-0 victory at Watford but is expected to be fit to lead the line.
Giles Coke and Lewis Buxton (both hamstring) remain on the sidelines as Wednesday chase back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler could shuffle his pack ahead of the trip to Hillsborough.
Rosler, who will check on a couple of unnamed players with knocks, is likely to make changes to the side that recorded a 3-2 win over Bolton last time out.
On-loan Manchester United forward Will Keane, an unused substitute in Latics' last two league games, could play some part.
Ali Al Habsi (knee) and Gary Caldwell (hip) both featured in a reserve match on Monday but are unlikely to return at this stage, while Juan Carlos Garcia (ankle) and Shaun Maloney (hip) remain sidelined.
