Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws accepts that he is under pressure after a run of seven games without a win.

The Owls are only just outside the relegation places, with a 2-0 weekend reverse to Reading their fourth consecutive defeat at Hillsborough.

He told The Star: "As a manager, you know if you are not getting the right results then the pressure mounts. I'm not stupid enough to think any different.

"But I said to the players you've got to look to the next game and maybe, being away from home, it might be just what we need.

"The players are out there to perform, but you know that their confidence is low."
