Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers accepted that the Owls deserved to lose Monday's Championship clash at QPR.
Wednesday seemed set to clinch all three points at Loftus Road when they surged into a two-goal lead but some shoddy defending eventually resulted in a 3-2 defeat.
"It was just a bad team performance and we need to pick ourselves up for the next game," Beevers told the Sheffield Star. "We've done it before and we can do it again.
"I don't think anybody performed to the best of their ability.
"We only had ourselves to blame. We've been in worse situations before when we've lost games, like at the beginning of last season, and we showed we can bounce back.
"We had our chances but we failed to defend. Their second and third goals were free headers. I don't think any of us centre-halves played to the best of our ability. It's up to us pick ourselves up on Saturday."
