Owls take Turner on loan
23 Feb 2007 - 10:09:48
Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has brought Everton keeper Iain Turner to Hillsborough on loan after admitting that Mark Crossley's form has deteriorated recently.
The 23-year-old has signed for the Owls on an initial one-month loan agreement.
Turner moved to Everton from Stirling Albion in 2003 and has made five appearances for the Premiership side.
He has also enjoyed loan spells with Chester City, Doncaster Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers and Crystal Palace in the last three years.
Laws told Wednesday's official website: "We're pleased to have signed Iain Turner on loan from Everton.
"He has played regularly for Scotland's Under-21s and therefore comes to us with a degree of pedigree.
"Mark Crossley has done well for us this season, but his form has dipped over the last few weeks and that's why I've brought in a goalkeeper on loan."
