Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has added some experience his squad by signing West Brom's Steve Watson on loan until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has played in more than 400 league games in a 16-year professional career that has included spells with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Everton, before he moved to Albion in July 2005.
"We're delighted to sign Steve, he's an outstanding player who has played at the very top of his profession," Laws told the Owls' official club website.
"The lowest he's been is in the Championship and he just wants to kick-start his career.
"He's 32, he's got a lot left in him and has played in a lot of positions including centre-half, midfield and right-back, so he can adapt to anywhere you put him."
