Owls swoop for trio

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has added three new players to his squad as he continues his preparations for the new season. Former Tottenham goalkeeper Robert Burch and Derby County shot-stopper Lee Grant have penned contracts with the Owls as has Scunthorpe United's utility man Richard Hinds. "We're delighted. Obviously the first port of call was the goalkeeping situation and we've brought in Lee Grant from Derby County, an England Under-21 international," Laws told Wednesday's official website. "I've monitored him for the last few years and I think he's a very good keeper. This is a key signing for us along with Robert Burch from Spurs. "Robert Burch is a player I've been very impressed with and tried to sign last summer when I was at Scunthorpe. "We've given him a one-year contract with options."
