Owls reveal Spurr all-clear

Sheffield Wednesday have revealed that Tommy Spurr did not suffer a serious head injury during the 2-2 draw with Watford on Saturday.

The Owls defender was detained in hospital following a clash of heads in the Championship stalemate at Vicarage Road.

"Tommy staying in hospital was a just a precautionary measure and I'm pleased to say he has come back to us with absolutely no problems," manager Brian Laws told the club's official website.

"He will train as usual this morning and will be available for the Swansea game on Saturday."
