Sheffield Wednesday have agreed contract extensions with defenders Richard Wood and Tommy Spurr.
Both Wood and Spurr were out of contract at Hillsborough at the end of the current season, but have now put pen to paper on deals that tie them to the Championship club until the end of the 2009-10 season.
Captain Wood's Owls' future had been unclear after he asked to be placed on the transfer list earlier in the season amid reported interest from Coventry City.
"Richard Wood and Tommy Spurr have had their contracts extended, that's an option the club had and we have taken control of that situation," manager Brian Laws told the club's official website.
"We're looking for the futures of Richard and Tommy and Mark Beevers to be secured for as long as possible.
"So there's no need to worry, they are going nowhere. They are contracted to the football club."
