Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has confirmed that he is tracking Aberdeen midfielder Barry Nicholson.
The 29-year-old Scotland international is set to leave the Dons this summer after three seasons at Pittodrie and has been linked with a number of Championship clubs in England.
Laws has admitted that the Owls are one of the clubs in the hunt, although they have yet to make a formal offer for the player.
He told the Sheffield Star: "I know about Barry Nicholson and I've spoken to his agent and made an enquiry. But we've not made any formal offers to him."
Nicholson started his career with Rangers, before joining Dunfermline Athletic in the summer of 2000.
He joined Aberdeen in June 2005 and has scored 25 goals in 125 appearances for the SPL outfit.
