Owls add a loan signing to Spur on their promotion bid

Young ace moves to Hillsborough

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has moved to bolster his squad as the transfer deadline approaches by securing the services of Tottenham Hotspur youngster John Bostock.

Bostock joined Spurs in 2008 from Crystal Palace and at the age of just 16 he became the youngest player to appear for their first team. The 20-year-old midfielder is considered to be a hot prospect by the London side and he has had a number of loan spells to aid his progression since moving to White Hart Lane.

In 2009/10 he played 10 times for Brentford in League One and last season he played 11 games in the Championship for Hull City, scoring twice for both clubs. Bostock, who has made just one substitute appearance for Spurs in the F.A. Cup this season, will provide the Owls with a goal threat and creativity from midfield and will remain at Hillsborough until the end of the season. He could make his Owls debut at MK Dons on Tuesday evening.
