Owls ace happy to stay

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Chris Brunt insists he has no intention of leaving Hillsborough despite speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.

Brunt, 22, has been mentioned as a possible transfer target for Fulham and Wigan Athletic after an impressive Championship season for the Owls.

But with 12 months still remaining on his existing deal, the Northern Ireland international is happy to stay at Wednesday.

"I've spoken to the gaffer about it; that's about as far as it's gone at the moment," he told the Sheffield Star.

"I've got another year left and, unless the club want to sell me, I'll be going nowhere."
