Sheffield Wednesday wingerMichael Gray's season is over after he was forced to have an operation on his injured shoulder.
Gray suffered the injury in last month's game against Watford and it has been decided that he needs minor surgery to repair a muscle tear.
"That knocks him out for the rest of the season," confirmed Owls boss Brian Laws. "It's a blow. He's made a big impact since joining us."
Gray could have played his last game for the club, as his contract ends this summer.
However, Laws added: "It's not the end for him. Keeping him is something that we'll be looking at."
