Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws believes the postponement their FA Cup clash with Derby County could improve the Owls' chances of winning the Sheffield derby at the weekend.
Wednesday host Steel City rivals Sheffield United at Hillsborough on Saturday lunchtime on the back of a free week following the postponement of Tuesday's third round replay due to a waterlogged pitch.
"Obviously I am disappointed with the postponement, but the referee has made the right decision because the pitch is not in good health," Laws told the club's official website.
"We will just look forward to hosting Derby in a week's time in our bid to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.
"There is always a down side and an up side to these situations and in this case the up side is that we may be able to get one or two of our players can get back to fitness."
