Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is hopeful that his side can avoid relegation, following their 2-1 victory at rock-bottom Colchester United.
The win lifted the Owls out of the bottom three at the expense of Leicester City and Laws has high hopes for the coming weeks.
He said: "We all knew the importance of this match, it was a must-win game for us.
"This might have been Colchester's last chance to climb out of the bottom three and we may have killed them off.
"It wasn't pleasing on the eye, but we really had to dig in deep and it doesn't matter how we got the win.
"This could be the turning point in our season and the players put in a good shift for us."
