Kelly hails "quality" of squad
Sheffield Wednesday's new assistant manager Rob Kelly is convinced the first-team squad at Hillsborough is good enough to steer clear of relegation.Kelly, who last week followed Alan Irvine from Preston where he was number two to the new Owls boss, has been helping prepare the players ahead of their first match under the new regime at local rivals Barnsley on Saturday. He told the club's official website: "The quality is there. We may not have the biggest squad but what we do have is quality."It's not always a bad thing having a smaller squad because it means everyone gets involved, everyone has a chance and that means there's a good spirit about the place."The first sessions have gone really well. The formalities are over and now we get on with the serious work of helping to keep this club in the Championship."
