Crossley hints at Owls stay

Veteran goalkeeper Mark Crossley is keen to make his loan stay at Sheffield Wednesday into a permanent transfer.

The 37-year-old joined the Owls earlier in the month after falling out of favour at Fulham and has conceded just one goal in three Championship appearances.

"If the opportunity comes to stay any longer, of course I want to stay," said Crossley. "It looks like my time is up at Fulham.

"If Fulham give me the opportunity to come here, then yes, I want to talk about it."

Meanwhile, Wednesday are sweating on the fitness of defender Madjid Bougherra ahead of Tuesday's clash with West Brom.

The Algerian centre-half suffered a thigh injury during Saturday's goalless draw with Cardiff City and is struggling to be fit.
