Chris hopes to get along the right Lines in loan spell
Midfielder makes move away
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Chris Lines has moved to League One side MK Dons on loan until the end of the season in a bid to get more regular first team football.
Lines was a key member of the first team last season as the Owls achieved automatic promotion from League One. He looked set to be a regular fixture in the Wednesday team this season during pre-season but he picked up an injury in the last warm up game of the summer which kept him sidelined for the first couple of months.
On his return to fitness he made half a dozen appearances in the Championship but failed to make a major impression and has recently found himself way down the pecking order in terms of finding a place in the Owls midfield.
The loan spell by no means signals the end of his career at Hillsborough. Lines still has another season to run on his current contract and this season has seen the likes of David Prutton and Giles Coke return to the Wednesday first team after going out on loan to League One sides.
Lines’ patient passing style should be well suited to the way that MK Dons play and as he did not feature for the Owls in their 3rd round F.A. Cup tie against the Dons he will be eligible to make his debut in that competition for MK when they face QPR this weekend.
