Buxton's Wednesday worry
Sheffield Wednesday defender Lewis Buxton is concerned that bigger clubs are trying to take advantage of the Owls' financial position.Highly-rated goalkeeper Lee Grant has already left for Burnley, while Jermaine Johnson and Marcus Tudgay have also been linked with a move away from Hillsborough. The fee received for Grant is expected to be used to pay off the club's outstanding £550,000 tax debt, but Buxton hopes the keeper's departure does not spark a mass exodus."Our goal is to get promoted so we don't want to see our best players going," he told the Sheffield Star. "It is well documented that the club has got to pay off a certain amount of money so I think other clubs are trying to come in and take advantage of that."We don't want our best players to leave but there are financial issues that mean the club is going to have to do that (sell players). I'm sure that the club won't let anyone go for less than they are worth."As players, we can't dwell on that and we have to focus on performing on the pitch."
