Bullen set for Owls stay

Sheffield Wednesday captain Lee Bullen is poised to put pen to paper on a new one-year rolling contract to remain at Hillsborough.

The 36-year-old defender has been with the Owls since 2004 and at the end of each season has been offered a new one-year contract.

Bullen has made over 120 appearances for Wednesday and is close to agreeing terms on a new 12-month deal.

"I don't foresee any problems. If I was a betting man, I would say I'll be here next season, definitely," he told the Sheffield Star.

"I'm not difficult to deal with, I'm not a greedy person, and it's a privilege to be offered a new contract.

"A one-year deal is fine by the club. It's all right for me as well."
