Bullen blow for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday captain Lee Bullen faces up to five weeks on the sidelines after it was confirmed that he tore a hamstring in Saturday's win against Cardiff City.

The former Dunfermline player had a scan on Tuesday that determined the extent of the injury he sustained in the 26th minute of the victory.

Bullen told the Owls' official website: "I've had the scan results and they show there's a tear and I'll be looking at three to five weeks out.

"It's nothing we haven't seen before. It should be a straightforward recovery with rest and hopefully I'll be back and available around the end of next month."
