Barr ready for "massive month"

Sheffield Wednesday face "a massive month" ahead in their bid to climb away from relegation trouble, according to new coach Billy Barr.Barr, who followed new Owls manager Alan Irvine and assistant Rob Kelly to Hillsborough last week from Preston, is helping to prepare the second-bottom side for five league clashes before the end of January - at Barnsley, Blackpool and Scunthorpe and at home against fellow strugglers Peterborough and Plymouth. He said: "The minimum requirement is hard work and we will do that. We can assure everybody out there we give everything to the job in hand."Clearly, there is quality in this squad and we need to make the players feel good about themselves again. Everybody likes to be liked."Wednesday blew us away in the first half when we came here with Preston earlier in the season. But for one reason or another things haven't been gelling so we will see things and address them to take into the weekend game against Barnsley."January is a massive month and we can't wait to get our teeth into it."
