Leeds United have signed veteran left-back Alan Wright on a month's loan from Sheffield United.

The 35-year-old has been with the Blades for nearly three years, but has only featured twice for the Bramall Lane outfit this season.

Blades boss Neil Warnock told his club's official website: "There were one or two clubs interested in Alan and Leeds were one of those clubs.

"It's a good opportunity for him to get games under his belt and it's only for a month."

Wright started his career with Blackpool and has gone on to enjoy spells with Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Derby County.
