    Webber won't be rushed

    29 Sep 2006 - 12:38:29

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock will not risk Danny Webber in Saturday's Premiership clash against Middlesbrough.

The 24-year-old former Watford star has been sidelined for three weeks with a groin injury but, although he returned to training this week, the Boro game has come too soon for him.

"The physios don't want Danny to be involved, because training is never the same as the explosiveness of the Premiership," Warnock told the Blades' official website.

"Ideally, he needs a couple of weeks to get back to full fitness. But if Danny's available, I'd like to include him."

Meanwhile, Paddy Kenny is likely to start against Boro after missing the last two Premiership games with a thigh strain.

"Paddy Kenny wasn't fit for last weekend, but he's got a good chance for this weekend," Warnock added. "It's only a slight little strain on his thigh.

"Paul Ifill was away on international duty with Barbados last week and he arrived back in training on Thursday.

"Nick Montgomery is back in training, but Saturday is too soon for him. Michael Tonge has put his operation back until next Wednesday to give him time to see if there's a chance to get away without having surgery. By giving him a break, it gives Michael time to prove his fitness."
