Webber boosts Blades

Sheffield United striker Danny Webber is expected to be fit for the start of the Premiership season after learning his knee injury is not too serious. The 24-year-old's involvement in the pre-season tour of the Netherlands was cut short when he picked up the injury. He underwent a scan on the joint after returning to England and, after it failed to reveal any major damage, should be available to line up against Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign. The news will come as a major relief to Blades boss Neil Warnock, who has already seen Claude Davis pick up an injury which will see him miss the early stages of the campaign.
