Sheffield United striker Geoff Horsfield's proposed move to Celtic appears to have fallen through, but Blades boss Neil Warnock still hopes to sell the player in this month's transfer window.
The Bhoys have had a bid for Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty turned down by the Championship side after deciding not to pursue their interest in Horsfield.
Warnock still hopes to receive a transfer fee for the former Birmingham City, West Brom and Wigan Athletic player though, telling the Sheffield Star: "We'll not be giving Geoff away for nothing, definitely not.
"I'm sure he won't have a problem finding somewhere, but it seems Celtic no longer want him.
"I don't know what's changed their mind, but if they've gone for the lad from Burnley, I can't see them going for Geoff as well.
"I'm not totally sure but that's the way I read the situation."
