Warnock still searching

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is hoping to further strengthen his squad in the next few weeks, despite the transfer window having closed.

Warnock missed out on his leading transfer targets on deadline day and now plans to trawl through the list of unattached players in search of some new faces capable of playing Premiership football.

"The legislation allows us to sign those who are not attached to other clubs," he explained.

"We are always looking, and we will never stop looking. That is something we always do because you never know who is out there."

One player who will not be joining the Blades is former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Khalilou Fadiga, who failed to impress during a recent trial spell at Bramall Lane.
