Warnock loathe to lose Shipp

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock is unwilling to let veteran striker Neil Shipperley leave Bramall Lane before the transfer window reopens.

The 31-year-old has not played for the Blades this season because of a niggling calf strain, but is expected to make a return to action for the reserves in the near future.

The former Barnsley, MK Dons and Crystal Palace forward has attracted the attention of several clubs already this term, but Warnock is unwilling to let him leave.

"We've had enquiries about Neil, but I'm loathe to even consider letting him out until the January transfer window at least," he told United's official website.

Shipperley has scored 11 goals in 39 appearances for the Blades since his transfer from Palace 15 months ago.
