    Uncertainty hampers Robson

    08 Jun 2007 - 10:18:43

Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson has admitted the uncertainty surrounding the club's future is preventing him from making moves in the transfer market.

The Blades still remain hopeful they will be reinstated to the Premier League when an arbitration panel sits on June 18 to discuss their opposition to the punishment meted out to West Ham United over the signing of Carlos Tevez.

Recent reports suggest the Premier League could go ahead with 21 teams next season should the Blades be successful in their legal challenge.

But the off-field wrangling is not helping new manager Robson as he attempts to put his mark on the squad inherited from Neil Warnock.

"With regard to the player hunt, it is ongoing but it could be delayed a little because of the uncertainty of our situation," he told the club's official website.

"We don't know for certain if we will be playing in the Championship or the Premiership - we will know more when the result of the arbitration is known.

"As it stands now, if I can sign a player who would fit the bill for either eventuality, there could be a signing.

"If not, I've just got to be patient and wait until the outcome is known before narrowing down my targets."

Meanwhile, the Blades will reportedly ask Kia Joorabchian of MSI - the group that owns Tevez and brokered his initial move to West Ham last summer - to give evidence on their behalf at the arbitration panel.
