Treacy set for long spell out

Sheffield United loanee Keith Treacy could be set for a long spell on the sidelines after suffering a bad injury in Saturday's defeat at Swansea City.

The Blackburn Rovers man was forced off during the first half and knew straight away that the problem was serious.

Blades manager Kevin Blackwell said: "If it turns out to be cruciate ligament damage he will be out long-term, in the region of six to nine months.

"He knew something was wrong straightaway when he felt his knee lock and then go backwards."

Treacy is due to undergo a scan to reveal the extent of the injury on evening.
