Strike duo on Blackwells radar

Published: 23 Sep 2009 - 15:08:00

Wednesday gained some revenge for last week's derby defeat with a 2-1 win at Hillsborough, where Camara and fellow striker Pancrate made solid contributions while playing the full 90 minutes. Both players will spend the rest of the week training with the first-team squad before Blackwell makes a decision on their futures. Blackwell is keen to draft in a new striker as cover for Jamie Ward, who will be sidelined for six weeks after tearing a hamstring in last Friday's derby clash at Bramall Lane. With Billy Sharp currently on loan at Doncaster, Blackwell is likely to partner Darius Henderson and summer signing Ched Evans up front for Saturday's match at Swansea. Both Pancrate and Camara are free agents after severing ties with Paris St Germain and Wigan respectively.
