Naughton, 20, attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs after becoming a stand-out player for the Blades last season. He began the season as the regular right-back, but can also play in midfield and eventually moved to the left-hand side of defence to accommodate his fellow United academy product Walker. Naughton, a boyhood Blades fan, made his debut for the club in August, and went on to make 50 appearances for the club, earning recognition with a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year. Walker is the less experienced of the pair. The 19-year-old broke into the team at the back end of the season, with the England Under-19 defender making seven appearances, including all three of United's games in the Championship play-offs.
