Speed expects Eagles battle

Sheffield United player-coach Gary Speed has warned his team-mates not to expect any favours from Crystal Palace and former Blades manager Neil Warnock.

The Blades travel to Selhurst Park needing a victory to try and seal automatic promotion to the Premier League at the weekend, with Speed ready for a battle royal.

He told the Sheffield Star: "We won't get any sort of welcome from Neil Warnock.

"I don't know him that well, but what I do know is that he's a winner with immense personal and professional pride, who won't lie down for anyone.

"It's going to be a dramatic finale but, whatever happens, we can't be disappointed because the boys have been absolutely magnificent since Christmas.

"One of the strengths of our team is that it's not about individuals.

"It's strong right the way through from one to eleven and the key will be drawing on that spirit now."
