Robson looks to loans

Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson hopes to bring several loan players to Bramall Lane to boost his ailing squad, but has ruled out a move for Manchester United starlet Chris Eagles.

The beleaguered Blades boss has also confirmed that he will allow China international Li Tie to leave the club.

The former England international told the Sheffield Star: "Hopefully I can bring a few loan players in. You always keep working on that, you can always improve.

"You can stand around all day and talk about the players you want to bring in. Like I've always said, if I've got something 100 per cent solid then I'll let the fans know.

"Chris Eagles is a very good player, but I don't think Sir Alex Ferguson will be letting him out.

"Li Tie is still here but he's not in my plans. He can leave on a free transfer."
