Rams target Hulse swoop

Sheffield United striker Rob Hulse is a summer transfer target for Derby County.

The 28-year-old joined the Blades for £2.2million in the summer of 2006, but has struggled to make an impact at Bramall Lane due to a number of injury problems.

However, the Rams view Hulse as a player who could help them challenge for an immediate return to the Premier League.

County chairman Adam Pearson told the Evening Telegraph: "Rob's definitely a player who interests us and he's a player who definitely interests the manager.

"I think they're saying they want to keep him now because it puts them in a stronger position.

"But if you're sitting on seven centre-forwards, the bottom line is that you have to sell some of them."
