New Blades deal for Bennett

Veteran goalkeeper Ian Bennett has penned a new one-year contract with Sheffield United.

The 37-year-old will continue to combine playing and coaching duties with the Blades next season.

"He has agreed a one-year extension to his contract and started his coaching path now," manager Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website.

"So in addition to being number two he will be working very closely with our goalkeepers in the development squad."
