Naughton overwhelmed by honour

The 20-year-old has had a season he will never forget after breaking into the first team at Bramall Lane, winning England Under-21s recognition and now being voted one of the best players in the Championship by his fellow professionals. Naughton said: "I was at the awards ceremony and there was Sir Alex Ferguson on the table to my right and Martin O'Neill on the left - I didn't know where to look. There were great players all over the place." Naughton added: "I was speechless when I heard the news. I couldn't believe it. This team is voted for by fellow professionals in our division, players who I have played against, so I'm delighted they think I'm a good player."
