The Blades captain has been struggling with a rib injury, but the postponement of last weekend's tie at Peterborough has given him the opportunity to return in a better condition than he might have done. Marcel Seip will be unable to partner him in defence at Bramall Lane, though, with the Pilgrims man unable to play owing to the terms of his loan deal. Boss Blackwell also has fitness doubts over James Harper, Ryan France and Kyle Bartley, but Toni Kallio, Nick Montgomery, Lee Williamson and Jamie Ward could have all recovered from the knocks they were carrying last time out. Derek Geary has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle problem, while leading goalscorer Darius Henderson begins a three-match suspension.
