More injury woe for Blades boss
Published : 07 Dec 2009 11:54:00

Leading goalscorer Henderson missed Saturday's win at Plymouth due to a hip injury while Ikeme looks set to return to Wolves just two weeks after arriving on loan at Bramall Lane after sustaining a calf injury. Manager Kevin Blackwell said: "An MRI scan has revealed Darius has a tear so he'll be out for two to three weeks. "We've talked a lot about injuries this season because we have had so many, all within games, and I don't know why it keeps happening." Blackwell was recently left with seven fit first-team players but the crisis appeared to clearing with long-term absentees Derek Geary and Gary Naysmith on the verge of a return. Ikeme was drafted in on November 26 to share the workload with Mark Bunn, on loan from Blackburn, after Ian Bennett sustained a serious thumb injury. Number one Paddy Kenny is banned until April after failing a drugs test.
