Lupoli loaned out to Blades

Italian striker Arturo Lupoli has joined Sheffield United on loan from Fiorentina.

The former Arsenal youngster, who has previously played in the Championship for Norwich City and Derby County, has joined the Blades until the end of the season.

Lupoli's latest loan spell with the Canaries ended last month and he impressed Blades boss Kevin Blackwell during a performance at Bramall Lane.

"He came here and did very well when we played Norwich three weeks ago," said Blackwell.

"And any of our fans who saw him play in that one won't be surprised we've signed him.

"I've looked around for a striker with a good record. He runs the channels and takes his chances. He's still only 21 and it's a great opportunity for the kid."
