Sheffield United's teenage midfielder Nicky Law has earned a two-year contract extension at Bramall Lane.
The 18-year-old has made just two first-team appearances to date, but the Blades have handed him a fresh deal running until the summer of 2009.
Boss Neil Warnock told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted. I have got every confidence in Nicky becoming an established player in the next few years.
"He has got an eye for a goal and I think this will give all the other Academy lads extra incentive to get into our squad."
Law himself added: "I'm obviously pleased because my contract was up at the end of the season, so to be offered another one shows United want to keep me.
"I'm enjoying it here, everything is going well at the moment, and I hope to progress and make a proper breakthrough."
