Sheffield United striker Marlon King has been called up to the Jamaican National Team ahead of their FIFA 2014 World Cup Qualifiers against USA and Honduras.
King announced his international retirement in November 2012 after earning 23 caps and scoring 12 goals in the process. But with former Hull City man Theodore Whitman relieved of head coach duties and new man Winfried Schafer he has been recalled.They face USA on 11 October in Kansas and Honduras in Kingston, Jamaica on 15 October, therefore he may miss an away trip to Coventry City a week on Sunday.Jamaica hasn't qualified for a World Cup finals since France '98 and King hopes to guild them to Brazil next year, he has been called up alongside former Sheffield United (and balloon legend) Luton Shelton.
