Defender Matthew Kilgallon has pledged his future to Sheffield United despite reports of a January move away from Bramall Lane.
Newcastle United were strongly linked with a move for the former Leeds United stopper during the current transfer window, but Kilgallon will stay with the Blades until at least the end of the current Championship season.
"We have spoken to (manager) Kevin Blackwell to say Matthew is fully committed to Sheffield United until the end of the season," confirmed agent Paul Masterton.
"We have also informed Newcastle United about the situation.
"Matthew is keen to win promotion with Sheffield United, if that happens we will re-assess the options in the summer."
