Kenny returns to Blades fold

Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Paddy Kenny is set for a return to action after completing a nine-month drugs ban.

The 31-year-old was suspended after failing a routine drugs test, after taking a cough medicine which contained the banned substance ephedrine.

Kenny, who has not featured for the Blades since May 2009, is back in contention for the clash with Swansea City next weekend.

Manager Kevin Blackwell told The Star: "Paddy has worked hard.

"He had to employ a personal fitness trainer and we got him a goalkeeping coach - someone who is not affiliated to the club.

"We have tried as hard as we can to keep Paddy as fit and doing as much football work as possible. Hopefully it will not be too long before he gets his eye back in."
