Kenny launches appeal against ban

Published: 09 Oct 2009 - 14:22:00

The 31-year-old tested positive for banned substance ephedrine after last season's play-off win against Preston. Kenny, who has not been allowed to train with any football club since last summer due to FIFA rules, will have his appeal heard in 10 days' time. The Blades keeper has the backing of the players' union, the Professional Footballers Association, in an attempt to get his ban reduced, though if he fails, he will only be available for the final two Championship games.
