    Ifill heads to Palace

    08 Jan 2007 - 12:36:01

Crystal Palace have wrapped up the signing of Sheffield United winger Paul Ifill for £750,000.

The 27-year-old has signed a deal running until the summer of 2009 at Selhurst Park to seal his return to the capital.

Ifill started his career with Millwall, spending seven years with the Lions before heading north to Bramall Lane for £800,000 in the summer of 2005.

He was a regular in Neil Warnock's side last season as they secured promotion to the Premiership, but this term he has featured just four times.

In total he scored nine goals in 45 appearances for United, having earlier totted up 43 goals in 260 outings for the Lions.

Meanwhile, Blades assistant boss Stuart McCall has confirmed that he is monitoring Leeds United centre-back Matthew Kilgallon.

He said: "When he played against us last season he was excellent and I saw him two or three other times and he was their leading player.

"We've been linked with a number of players, but Kilgallon keeps coming back and he is a player we've been interested in."
