Brandy to Receive Further Punishment

Former Manchester United trainee forward Febian Brandy will be disciplined by Sheffield United following his red card at Shrewsbury last Saturday.

Sheffield United were defeated by two goals to nil at Greenhous Meadows last weekend with Brandy, a half-time substitution being sent-off after only eight minutes on the pitch after tussling with Connor Goldson and pushing him in the face - referee Stuart Atwell had no choice but to hand the forward a straight red card.

It was the former Manchester United and Walsall players second red card of the season having already been dismissed at home to MK Dons in late August and will now serve a four match suspension.

Blades boss Nigel Clough has revealed that the club will discipline Brandy 'in-house' following his dismissal, he told sufc.co.uk; "We have no complaints at all about the red card, you simply can't raise your hands like Febian did. It will be pointed out to him that his reaction was unacceptable and it costs us the opportunity to take anything from the game, which is frustrating. He will be disciplined in-house. I don't care how frustrated he was following the two tackles, you don't react like that. Even if he had been kicked from pillar to post you get up and go again, you can't just lash out at the opposition."
