Blades wait on Jags move

Sheffield United say there have been no developments in the possible exit of star midfielder Phil Jagielka from Bramall Lane this summer.

Two clubs had had bids for the versatile 24-year-old accepted several weeks ago, but the trail has gone cold for the time being, despite rumours of interest from Bolton Wanderers.

Blades chairman Terry Robinson told The Star: "We have received no new approaches recently.

"At this stage we have received two - from clubs you already know about - but since then nobody else has come to us with anything proper."

England Under-21s and B international Jagielka has been with the Blades for eight years, making nearly 300 first-team appearances.
