Sheffield United midfielder Li Tie has been told he can leave the club on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old China international has made just one League Cup appearance for the Blades since arriving at Bramall Lane in July 2006 and has now been told he is surplus to requirements by boss Bryan Robson.
"He's not in my plans and he is free to go wherever he wants on a free transfer," he confirmed.
The former Everton midfielder struggled with a succession of injuries during the opening months of his Blades career and failed to convince former boss Neil Warnock that he was worthy of a place in his side battling for Premier League survival.
Tie had joined the Bramall Lane club on a free transfer after similar injury problems led to his release by Everton.
